I've read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.It was a great book for people to change.Its begin with
2.Begin with the end in mind
3.Put First thing first
5.Seek First to understand..then to be understood
7.Sharpen the saw
well..as I deepened this book, I realized that the 7 habits were actually islam themselves..can't tell without you reading it first..hehe..we discuss this later..
Supposedly I start with habit one;be proactive..but today,lets start with habit 3...put first thing first.. its about us to identify each matter or problem as important-urgent,important-not urgent,not important-urgent and not important-not urgent..
ha..which one do you prefer the most?
ok,define important...important is when we ignore it,it will effect our life..its priority.. And how about urgent? Urgent is something required immediate attention.
examples of important-urgent; crises,pressing problems and deadline-driven projects 'like assignment'
important-not urgent; prevention, relationship building,recognizing new opportunities , planning, and recreation...
not important-urgent; interruptions,some calls, some mail, some reports, some meetings, proximate, pressing matters, and popular activities...
not important-not urgent; trivia, busy work, some mail, some phone calls, time wasters, pleasant activities...
Some people will focus their time on 'important -urgent' things and when they get tired or tension/stress,they do the 'not important-not urgent' things like watching tv,going to club and so on..(as to release their tension,somehow they are not fixing the crisis/problem..)
There are also people who focus their time on 'urgent but not important' thing...thinking that it is 'important-urgent' thing...but you see..urgent things are not all important..sometimes we misunderstood it..it based on priority and expectations of others..it will caused you to feel victimized,out of control,broken relationships and crisis management..
And also..some people waste their time on 'not important-not urgent' things and 'not important-urgent' things..which lead irresponsible lives...
There is only one thing,that if you focus on it..you will gain a great bonus for your entire lifetime...that is.......jeng3x..........focus on 'important-not urgent' things...
well, if you focus on your health at the very beginning..[exercising,eating healthy food,,,healthy life style] you are preventing yourself from disease!!..you know exercise is important..but it is not urgent! That is why most people not spending their time on 'important-not urgent' things..
[including me...huhu]..so lets do it together!
Actually, when you focus on 'important-not urgent' things...it will cause your important-urgent things to diminish!..when you are thinking the prevention[important-not urgent]...then, there will be no crisis or emergency[important-urgent thing] at all! you see? When you do your assignment early,,you will not have to stay up at night to finish it [causing lack of sleep, less concentration in classes, and medium / bad result]..
